m2e as it it is known popularly was launched in early 2009 and quickly caught the attention of everyone. There were 30000 sign ups a day. Then there were glitches and the frenzy abated some what and now the prominent social book marking site has an impressive half a million members. It would have been much more but a lot of fraudulent memberships had to be cancelled as greedy individuals signed up multiple times with fake e-mail ids looking for bonus shares to the company.
As people referred their friends to this site the company rewarded them with bonus shares @ 5000 shares per genuine referral. The sign up earned one a hefty 2000 share. M2E has committed that it will issue share certificates and one can start trading these shares. The company is planning to go public in late 2012.
